This museum studies seminar introduces students to the history of art museums and current debates on the role of museums in today's society, as well as institutional practices and career paths. In addition, students will organize a group exhibition of artwork from the Davison Art Center collection, research objects, and write exhibition labels. |
Essential Capabilities:
Interpretation, Writing This course addresses writing through analysis of effective exhibition labels and the challenges of communicating specialized information to general audiences. The interpretation of individual works of art is a core part of this seminar

In addition to the Thursday class, there will be two sessions scheduled on Wednesdays and Fridays for independent work in the DAC collection. |
