Drawing II
ARST 332
Spring 2025
Section: 01
This course may be repeated for credit.

This class builds upon the course content covered in Drawing I (ARST131). As we continue to draw from observation, topics will include an in-depth exploration of the human figure, various approaches to pictorial space, and an introduction to color. This course also introduces a concept-based approach to drawing that explores narrative and content. Brainstorming exercises and ideation techniques widen the scope a of "what is a drawing," and we will experiment with various methodologies in pursuit of developing personal style and studio practice. Drawing II serves as an essential bridge between introductory-level courses and the individualized pursuit of the ARST senior thesis.
