This course is an intensive exploration of the language of architecture as it relates to the situations of place-making, human habitation and cultural interaction. Its focus is two-fold: (1) the implementation of abstract, formal principles into specific site context and building program and, (2) the investigation of spatial experience and human perception. The intent of this course is to further develop the students' awareness and understanding of the built environment as a result of the study of architectural practice and theoretical issues.
