This is a comprehensive introductory course to the methods and aesthetics of film-based and digital photography. The topics of study will include evaluating negatives and prints, developing film, photoshop techniques, printing, reading light, visualization, photographic design, and history of photography. |

Examinations and Assignments: Weekly submission of contacted sheets and prints. A final portfolio. |
Additional Requirements and/or Comments: Students must provide their own digital camera with a minimum resolution of 8 megapixels (a digital single lens reflex camera is strongly recommended. For more info please contact the instructor.) Film cameras will be provided by the department.
