This is a comprehensive introductory course to the methods and aesthetics of film-based and digital photography. The topics of study will include evaluating negatives and darkroom prints, developing film, Lightroom and Photoshop software, inkjet printing, reading light, visualization, photographic design, and history of photography. |

Course Handouts and readings will be digitally available on Moodle.
Film cameras will be provided. A limited number of Digital SLR's will be available, which will be loaned on a first-come first-served basis

Examinations and Assignments: Weekly submission of contacted sheets and prints. A final portfolio. |
Additional Requirements and/or Comments: Interviews will take place Wednesday Nov. 9th from 9-10:45AM and on Thursday Nov. 10th from 11:30-1PM on the second floor of DDS.
You do not need to make an appointment, but plan on arriving during the designated times. Please submit a POI before your interview. |
