This is a comprehensive introductory course to the methods and aesthetics of film-based and digital photography. The topics of study will include evaluating negatives and darkroom prints, developing film, Lightroom and Photoshop software, inkjet printing, reading light, visualization, photographic design, and history of photography. |

Examinations and Assignments: Weekly submission of contacted sheets and prints. A final portfolio. |
Additional Requirements and/or Comments: Film cameras will be provided. A limited number of Digital SLRs will be available, which will be loaned on a first-come, first-served basis. Interviews will be on Friday November 9th from 9am-1pm in Professor Rudensky''s office, upstairs in the Digital Design Studio on a first-come, first-served basis. |
