This is a comprehensive introductory course to the methods and aesthetics of film-based and digital photography. The topics of study will include evaluating negatives and darkroom prints, developing film, Lightroom and Photoshop software, inkjet printing, reading light, visualization, photographic design, and history of photography. |

Weekly submission of contacted sheets and prints. A final portfolio. |
Additional Requirements and/or Comments:
Film cameras will be provided. A limited number of Digital SLRs will be available, which will be loaned on a first-come, first-served basis. This is an interview based class ONLY. Interviews will be on Friday Nov. 12th from 9:30am-1:30pm on the 2nd floor of DDS. No appointment necessary but students need to submit a POI before the interview. It will be first come first serve. |
