This course offers a close, critical study of Freud's psychoanalytic writings through the major phases of his career. We will be attending to individual texts, ongoing issues, the cogency of Freud's theoretical formulations, the reasons for his revisions and the range of his relevance. We will consider developments in the theory and practice of psychoanalysis since Freud. |
