Introduction to Programming

| Course Cluster and Certificates: Applied Data Science Certificate, Integrated Design, Engineering & Applied Science Minor |
The course will provide an introduction to a modern, high-level programming language including a discussion of input/output, basic control structures, types, functions, and classes. The lectures will also discuss a variety of algorithms as well as program design issues.
The second meeting time for each section is a computer lab. |

This course will be entirely online. Tuesday's class will be a lecture. Thursday's class will be a programming lab.
Lectures will be recorded and made available for asynchronous viewing. Thursday lab sessions will not be
recorded but separate accommodations will be made for remote students who can not attend the live sessions
due to time zone or other considerations.

Labs will have in person opportunities on a rotating schedule depending on the number of in person participants.
