CSS 371
Fall 2014 not offered
Certificates: Social, Cultural, and Critical Theory

This colloquium examines the work of a number of major 20th-century social and political theorists such as Hannah Arendt, Jürgen Habermas, John Rawls, Michael Oakeshott, Franz Fanon, Ludwig Von Mises, Friedrich Hayek, Michel Foucault, Seyla Benhabib, and Wendy Brown. The colloquium will be organized around central concepts of social and political analysis such as human rights, the public and private sphere, human action and social structure, freedom, and the nature of politics.
