This intermediate modern dance class will focus on moving with technical precision, projection of energy, dynamic variation, and proper alignment. Emphasis will be placed on learning movement quickly and developing awareness of space, time, and energy. |

Examinations and Assignments: Attendance at assigned dance concerts, participation in group assignments, short papers. |
Additional Requirements and/or Comments: Experience at the intermediate modern dance level is a prerequisite for this course. Placement on this level requires the recommendation of a dance technique teacher from the previous semester and permission of the instructor, Chair of Dance, Nicole Stanton. There are 12 Friday classes that are taught by two (six-week) Visiting Artists. Undergraduates may take this course up to two times for a letter grade and up to four times for credit towards graduation.
