Essential Capabilities:
Designing, Creating, and Realizing, Interpretation
InterpretationAs in Ballet I, "Interpretation" is a key capability in this course. Since students in Ballet II are already familiar with the basic history of the tradition, each semester we study closely an era of ballet to further investigate of its history and culture. This is undertaken by examining visual and print media, as well as by learning the movement language of ballet at an advanced level.

Previous dance training required. Placement on the Ballet II level required by recommendation of ballet technique teacher the previous semester or evaluation in first class. Please contact Professor Patricia Beaman for permission into this course.
Undergraduates may take this course up to two times for a letter grade and up to four times for credit towards graduation. |
