This course offers an introduction to accounting and business decisions: balance sheets, income statements, and sources and uses of funds; capital budgeting; cost of capital; the link between accounting records and economic analysis. Emphasis is placed on the uses of present-value techniques. |

Examinations and Assignments: Hour test, quizzes, final examination as scheduled by the registrar, project and frequent problem sets. Answers to problem sets will often be discussed in class. |
Additional Requirements and/or Comments: Students who complete ECON 229 cannot receive credit towards the ECON or MECO major for ECON 329, or vice versa depending on your needs for major credit. |
