The fourth semester of our language program features an intensive review of basic grammar points that frequently cause problems. A variety of readings will introduce contemporary literature and serves as a springboard to conversation. Movies will be used to develop students' listening skills. |

Students will compare cultural practices between their own and French and Francophone cultures, as well as develop their speaking skills in French at the intermediate level.

Additional Requirements and/or Comments:
Students are required to attend a one-hour T.A. session each week and are expected to spend three hours a week viewing films. This course is intended for students who have completed FREN111 or have placed into FREN112 through the placement test. Students who have not done so should consult with the professor before pre-registering. STUDENTS WHO HAVE TAKEN OR ARE TAKING FREN111 SHOULD BE AWARE THAT THEY ARE NOT GUARANTEED A PLACE IN FREN112. Students who are not admitted to the course through pre-registration are strongly encouraged to submit an enrollment request and attend the first class. |
