This course is designed to build and strengthen skills in oral and written German. The course emphasizes attaining ease and fluency in oral expression through group discussion and achieving accuracy and stylistic felicity in writing. The thematic focus will be the history and culture of the city of Berlin. |

Speaking, Writing Speaking: Intensive practice in speaking German to articulate and defend ideas & interpretations.
Writing: frequent writing & revising; stylistic exercises.

Additional Requirements and/or Comments: Regular attendance and participation in class, as well as attendance at German films and events sponsored by the German Studies Department or the German Haus is expected. |
