This survey course helps students understand how states cooperate in the areas of global health, climate change, and identity politics using political economy perspectives. For example, the course will touch on the relationship between global health cooperation and intellectual property rights, how trade liberalization helps or deter cooperation in climate mitigation, and whether international trade liberalization discriminates against marginalized groups. In the process, students will learn to critically examine existing theories and concepts. |
