The readings for this course will include a broad range of critical essays and selected primary source documents.

Examinations and Assignments: Students will be required to write several short essays on the weekly readings, a short interpretive essay based on primary sources, and a final research design project that will help them develop skills for doing historical research. Students are expected to participate fully in class discussions. |
Additional Requirements and/or Comments: This course is a required course for all history majors and should be taken in the junior year. |
