Intercultural Literacy
This course is designed to enhance students' Japanese skills for:
-reading texts on cultural issues written for adult learners,
-writing cultural analysis essays,
-participating in various types of discourse, and
-communication with greater fluency, accuracy and grammatical complexity.

Examinations and Assignments:
There are frequent homework assignments, which include reading comprehension, essay writing, and conversation project. Both midterm and final examinations are given, and weekly quizzes cover grammar and vocabulary. |
Additional Requirements and/or Comments:
Students who have not completed JAPN206 at Wesleyan are required to take a placement test. Attendance and active participation in every class and weekly TA sessions are required. |
