The primary goal of this course is to enable students to acquire Japanese language proficiency through integrating four skills: speaking, listening, reading, and writing. Lesson 6 - Lesson 9 from the textbook Tobira cover different topics, including religion, pop culture, traditional performing arts, and education in Japan. The class meets three hours per week. |

Examinations and Assignments:
There are frequent homework assignments, which include grammar, Kanji and vocabulary exercises, reading comprehension, essay writing, and conversation project. In addition to weekly quizzes, both lesson tests and a final examination are given. |
Additional Requirements and/or Comments:
Attendance and active participation in every class and at least 5 hours of Japanese language table are required. Students who have not completed JAPN206 at Wesleyan are required to take a placement test. |
