This is a topics course in analysis and varies from year to year. It may be repeated for credit. In Fall 2013, the topic is Complex Analysis II. We will study normal families, Vitali's theorem, Montel's theorem, the Riemann mapping theorem, Runge's theorem on approximation by rational functions, non-Euclidean (hyperbolic) geometry, Koebe's theorem, and boundary behavior of conformal mappings. Further topics will be covered as time permits.
Additional Requirements and/or Comments: Students should already have taken MATH513 and MATH514. Undergraduates may take this course up to two times for a letter grade and up to four times for credit towards graduation.
