This course will be a survey of topics in Graph Theory and include connections between Graph Theory and Combinatorics. We will discuss topics from trees and networks, graph coloring, extremal graph theory, extremal set theory, codes, designs, geometries, tournaments, graph embeddings and graph spectra. We will apply combinatorial, algebraic and topological techniques to the study of graphs.
Additional Requirements and/or Comments: Students should have taken MATH 523 and 524. Undergraduates may take this course up to two times for a letter grade and up to four times for credit towards graduation.
