Weekly formal presentations by graduate students about their research projects. This includes description of experimental outline, technical details, problems that are encountered, and possible solutions. The active discussion among the participants is designed to generate communication skills, new ideas, and interpretations and to introduce novel techniques that would aid the graduate student. |
Essential Capabilities:
Logical Reasoning, Speaking Practice and feedback sessions on the oral presentation will enhance public speaking ability, while questions and discussion will inform logical reasoning capabiities.

Additional Requirements and/or Comments: This course is required of all MB&B graduate students. Undergraduates may take this course up to four times for credit towards graduation.
A summary of the work accomplished during the practicum (MB&B501, 502) will be expected of first-year students. A 60-minute meeting every week is planned. |
