Course Cluster: Southern Asia Studies |
A course in the rhythmic repertoire of South India using a system of vocables corresponding to drum strokes. An accelerated approach to the repertoire; students will receive an introduction to the fundamentals of tala and rhythmic composition. Advanced students will study a variety of compositions in a number of talas. |
