This laboratory course provides experience with phenomena discussed in PHYS111 or PHYS113 lectures. Video cameras and computer analysis of captured video clips will be the primary tools for data acquisition and investigation. |

This laboratory course teaches students how to obtain, process and evaluate data, and compare these data with quantitative models of how our world works.

Examinations and Assignments: Regular attendance required. Lab notebooks are reviewed by lab instructor at the end of each weekly lab meeting. No other write-ups are required. |
Additional Requirements and/or Comments: While this course is not required by the Physics Department, students planning to enter the health professions should be aware that a year of physics WITH LABORATORY is usually required for admission. Consult your major advisor if you are in doubt about similar requirements in your field. Each laboratory group is limited to twelve students. |
