This laboratory course teaches students how to obtain, process and evaluate data, and compare these data with quantitative models of how our world works.

Examinations and Assignments: Regular attendance required. Lab notebooks are reviewed by lab instructor at the end of each weekly lab meeting. No other write-ups are required. |
Additional Requirements and/or Comments: While this course is not required by the Physics Department, it is recommended, and students planning to enter the health professions should be aware that a year of physics WITH LABORATORY is usually required for admission. Consult your major advisor if you are in doubt about similar requirements in your field.
PLEASE NOTE: Rising seniors who need the lab should rank it highly to have the best chance of getting a seat. Rising sophomores and juniors who wish to take the lab may need to rank it lower or add it during adjustment period. |
