The course examines research methods and techniques used in social psychology, including observation, correlation, and experimentation. Students will learn about study design, research ethics, and how to collect and analyze data, as well as effective ways to report results. All students are expected to undertake a research project. |

Additional Requirements and/or Comments: Beginning with familiarization with finding, reading, and evaluating psychological research, this course will proceed through learning scientific writing skills, research methodologies, and issues relevant to psychological science. The course will examine psychological research using a mix of lecture, discussion of the text and assigned readings, group activities, and writing assignments to culminate in an individual Research Paper and Group Project Presentation. |
