Topics include perception, imagery, attention, memory, problem solving, decision making, and language. Links to everyday experience and practical applications are also highlighted. This is a column 1 Breadth Requirement course in psychology.
The course is intended for prospective psychology majors and students with related interests. Students who have taken Behavioral Neurobiology (NS&B 213) are encouraged to take a more advanced course, as the present introductory course assumes no knowledge of brain anatomy and physiology.
Students not admitted during preregistration will be admitted at first class only if seats become available. Priority will go to students on the enrollment request list who previously unsuccessfully requested the course and/or PSYC/NSB majors. Because the course often has a long request list, please do not email the instructor. |
