This course offers an overview of classic and contemporary social psychology, covering topics such as group behavior, friendship, stereotyping, conformity, obedience, and conflict resolution. |

Additional Requirements and/or Comments: This is a column 3 breadth course for psychology majors. Through lecture, interactive activities, and demonstrations, students should be able to (1) describe social psychological theories of human behavior and the research methods used to test them, (2) apply social psychological theories and findings to past/present events and experiences, and (3) evaluate social psychological research and consider alternatives for new research directions. |
