This introductory course is designed for students without prior Spanish language study. Students will develop basic receptive and productive language skills (reading, listening, writing, and speaking) along with an awareness of the various cultures of the Spanish-speaking world, including the US.

This is a required course-sequence class: a grade will be assigned at the end of the semester, but credit will only be granted upon completion of SPAN102.
