With cultural issues continuing to serve as a backdrop, this course, a continuation of SPAN111, leads students through a review and in-depth examination of Spanish grammar and vocabulary while providing the experience of working with written texts and other media materials. Students will explore an array of cultural topics relevant to the Spanish-speaking world. Assignments will be both written and oral. |

This course offers constant opportunities to develop the ability to speak Spanish in a variety of meaningful contexts.
Students will compare cultural practices, products, and values in the Spanish-speaking world with those in their own culture.

Three hours a week with instructor and one hour in smaller groups for conversation.
To enroll in this course, students must have placed into SPAN112 through the Wesleyan Online placement test in the fall, or have an AP score of 4, or have completed SPAN111.
