Econometrics is the study of statistical techniques for analyzing economic data. This course reviews multiple regression and develops several more advanced estimation techniques. Students work on individual research projects and learn to use econometric software. |

Wooldridge, Introductory Econometrics (required; most recent edition), and Kennedy, A Guide to Econometrics (optional; a relatively recent edition). Additional short items will be handed out occasionally.

Examinations and Assignments: Weekly assignments, 2 exams, and a research project. |
Additional Requirements and/or Comments: Students will use the statistical computer program Stata, which is available in the campus data labs. There will be 4-5 workshops on how to use Stata scheduled at times outside the course meeting times. |
