Major Readings: Wesleyan RJ Julia Bookstore
The main textbook for the course is Mastering `Metrics: The Path from Cause to Effect by Joshua Angrist and Jörn-Steffen Pischke. Additionally, the course will occasionally draw from Mostly Harmless Econometrics: An Empiricist¿s Companion, which is also by Angrist and Pischke; Causal Inference: The Mixtape by Scott Cunningham; and The Effect: An Introduction to Research Design and Causality by Nick Huntington-Klein. The latter two are available for free online and links will be provided to them on the class Moodle page.

Weekly assignments, 2 exams, and a research project. |
Additional Requirements and/or Comments:
Students will use the statistical computer program Stata.
PLEASE NOTE: Only graded courses can satisfy the requirements for the data analysis minor and the applied data science certificate. Courses completed with a CR/U grading mode will not satisfy the requirements of the two programs. |
