This course may be repeated for credit. |
Both the accompanying and conducting/coaching aspects of ensemble performance of vocal, choral and instrumental repertoire. Each student will prepare then perform in class for critique selections of each of these three possibilities. Harpsichord, piano and organ will be used. Members of the class and majors preparing senior recitals will participate. |

Investigation and study of the composer, medium and specific work will be determined as fits each assigned piece.

Examinations and Assignments: Accompaniment and conducting of works in class and/or concert performance. |
Additional Requirements and/or Comments: Fluent keyboard sight-reading ability is essential. All students will also be required to sing or play an instrument to provide the needed forces as each prepares their class presentations as conductor and accompanist. Undergraduates may take this course up to two times for a letter grade. PREREQUISITE: MUSC405 or MUSC406 sections 16, 17, 18 or 43 or MUSC441. |
