Students in the course will learn about the topic of qualitative research methods through the process of designing and conducting an interview study. Students will work together in small groups and be introduced to other methods of collecting qualitative data throughout the term, but the focus of this course is on semistructured interviewing. Throughout the course we will discuss the theoretical paradigms and tensions regarding the role of qualitative methods in the field of psychology. |
