This course will concentrate on small operatic chorus, duets, trios, quartets, oratoric ensembles, and art songs. |
Essential Capabilities:
Designing, Creating, and Realizing, Intercultural Literacy Designing, creating, and realizing: The course teaches students primarily to perform, but also to discuss and analyze this specific music. Emphasis will be on the original design and presentation of certain genres and styles. A concert at the end of the semester will be part of the assignments.
Intercultural Literacy: By studying music from different nationality, ethnic group, or historical period, students will gain knowledge of cross-cultural encounter; hence promoting a comparative reflection.

Mandatory attendance at rehearsals and performances. Undergraduates may take this course up to two times for a letter grade and up to four times for credit towards graduation.
