An introduction to the principles of micro- and macroeconomic theory, this course is intended for prospective majors and students wishing to prepare themselves for a broad range of upper-level elective courses in economics. There is a calculus prerequisite for this course. The calculus prerequisite can be fulfilled by completing ECON 102, MATH 120, or MATH 121 or by placing into MATH 122 or higher according to the Wesleyan Math Placement test. It can also be fulfilled an AP score of 4 or higher on BC Calculus, or a score of 5 or higher on the IB test ¿ student must submit a pre-req override to the instructor teaching the course. |
