Major Readings: Wesleyan RJ Julia Bookstore
Students will read stories by James Baldwin, Alice Munro, Junot Diaz, Carmen Machado, Annie Proulx, and other writers.

Examinations and Assignments: Students will submit two short stories to the workshop. They will write one revision as a final project. They will complete five short writing assignments. |
Additional Requirements and/or Comments: Students are also required to attend 2-3 events per semester with visiting writers (these are scheduled on Wednesday afternoons and evenings; Q & A sessions at 4:30 and readings at 6:00 p.m.). This course contributes to the Theory & Literary Forms and Creative Writing concentrations of the English major. |
