The course is designed to provide an introduction to the basic concepts of digital art. Students will be introduced to media production using digital cameras, sound recording devices, lighting, animation, and sound and video editing techniques.
Screening of historical and contemporary artist's works creates the conceptual framework for the class and helps the students to develop a critical eye for digital art and time-based culture. The class discussions will focus on screenings as well as each student's work in progress. |

Students need to purchase their own Hard Drives for the work in the lab. Recommendations will be given in the beginning of class.
Independent studio work is required.
