Students will be introduced to media production using digital cameras, lighting, animation, and sound and video editing techniques. Primary programs covered and used in this class will be Final Cut pro X, After Effects CS 5, and Dragon Stop Motion.
Screening of historical and contemporary artists' works creates the conceptual framework for the class and helps the students to develop a critical eye for digital art and time-based culture. The class discussions will focus on screenings as well as each student's work in progress. |
