This course is an extensive examination into the methods and aesthetics of digital photography. The topics of study will include: DSLR camera operation, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Bridge, and printing but, more importantly, will focus on photography as a fine art through both a historical and contemporary viewpoint. |

| Additional Requirements and/or Comments: Students must provide their own digital camera with a minimum resolution of 8 megapixels (digital SLR highly recommended). The camera MUST be capable of manual exposure control.
To be considered for the course, please come to the first class meeting on Monday, September 2nd. I will interview students for the remaining spots after a brief introduction. Please note that ARST 451 (Photography 1) is currently full, but ARST 453 (Digital Photography) still has available spots.
