This course will focus on the psychology of judgment and decision making. The aims of this course are to explore normative models of judgment and decision making and to compare these models with descriptive data largely from cognitive psychology. In the process, we will think about decision making in a variety of domains, as well as ways of improving decision making. While only introductory psychology is a formal prerequisite, students with prior coursework in cognitive psychology, quantitative research methods, and/or statistics in the social sciences will be best prepared for the course. |
