India and Indians were central to the rise and demise of Britain's global empire. Britain and Britons were central to the emergence and final shape of the Indian nation-state. This course will introduce students to the mulitple layers of India's imperial engagement with Britain. |

Additional Requirements and/or Comments: Each week will consist of a contextual lecture by the instructor and a student-led examination and discussion of an arena, event, image, or personality form multiple perspectives, from both Britain and India. |
