This seminar-style capstone course for E&ES seniors explores major topics that span multiple subdisciplines of the earth and environmental sciences. Special emphasis is placed on topics that relate to the Senior Field Research Project (E&ES398). Students will use the primary literature to create hypothesis-driven oral presentations and written reports. In groups, students will also develop an original research project (to be implemented in E&ES398). The goal of the course is to help students transition to independent, professional scientists. |
