This laboratory course, to be taken concurrently with MB&B181 or BIOL181, provides direct experience with techniques used in cell biology and molecular biology. These include polymerase chain reaction (PCR), electrophoresis, enzyme assays, microscopy, and spectrophotometry. The lab course is a chance to learn these key techniques firsthand. |

Additional Requirements and/or Comments: MB&B/BIOL 191 is usually taken concurrently with MB&B/BIOL 181; however, students must sign up for MB&B/BIOL 181 and MB&B/BIOL 191 separately. This course is graded on Credit/Unsatisfactory for all students. To receive credit for the course, students must complete each lab exercise and written assignment at a satisfactory level. |
