Tai Chi is the most widely practiced Chinese martial art. It is extremely effective as a "moving mediation." By focusing on correct posture, controlled breathing and graceful movements the student will learn to achieve mind/body harmony. During the quarter the student will be introduced to short forms, martial art applications of the movements and qi gong exercises, which are useful for mental relaxation and warm-up. |
