|Examinations and Assignments: |
Students will be assigned weekly readings and viewings that deal with these various Japanese performing arts and are expected to write a brief response paper for each assignment. Students are expected to show concerted effort in learning the pieces, attend all classes and the one hour weekly TA sessions. There will be a student performance at the end of the semester.

Admitted students will be required to have a pair of bachi (sticks), which the instructor will have available for purchase for $25. (Not required for audition)
Students are required to participate in one 1 hour TA session per week and are also required to, participate in the final concert. The schedule for these is TBD but will be known as of audition time.
Auditions for admission to class will be held on February 15th. 1-3pm via ZOOM. Cut and paste this link to sign-up for an audition time.
Class is held in World Music Hall.
