This is course is for students who have taken Beginning Taiko. Acceptance to this class is at the discretion of the instructor. Students will learn more advanced techniques in taiko drumming by learning pieces from the Matsuri and kumi daiko performance repertoires. |

Examinations and Assignments:
Students are expected to show a strong grasp on the repertoire- demonstrate considerable efforts in increasing physical strength, flexibility and stamina as assigned by the instructor. Attendance to all classes and one hour weekly TA session (day/time TBD) is mandatory. There will be a performance at the end of the semester.

Prerequisites: [MUSC416 or CEAS416] or [MUSC418 or CEAS418] or prior experience.
Admission by audition. Please attend the first class to audition.
Note: Wear comfortable clothes for easy movement. Shoes are not worn on the floor so bring something else to wear on your feet if you do not want to go barefoot.
Undergraduates may take this course up to two times for a letter grade and up to four times for credit towards graduation.
Students are required to participate in the one-hour TA session every week (day/time TBD) and are required to participate in the final concert. The schedule for these is TBD but will be known as of audition time. |
