This is course is for students who have taken Beginning Taiko. Acceptance to this class is at the discretion of the instructor. Students will learn advanced techniques in taiko drumming, singing, and fue, Japanese flute. |

Examinations and Assignments:
Students are expected to show a strong grasp on the repertoire- demonstrate considerable efforts in increasing physical strength, flexibility and stamina as assigned by the instructor. Attendance to all classes and one hour weekly TA sessions is mandatory. There will be a performance at the end of the semester. |

Prerequisites: [MUSC416 or CEAS416] or [MUSC418 or CEAS418] or prior experience.
Interested students should attend the first class for audition.
Undergraduates may take this course up to two times for a letter grade and up to four times for credit towards graduation.
Attendance at one TA session per week is required. This semester, the choices are Thursdays at 1pm and fridays at 5pm. So, in addition to the class time, you need to be available one of those time slots. Also, the concert, which is the final, is on May 5th, in the evening, with a dress rehearsal In the afternoon. |
