This course will provide a broad overview of cell biology, genetics, evolution, ecology, animal structure and function, and plant biology for the nonscience major. |
Essential Capabilities:
Information Literacy, Interpretation Students will be exposed to the process of analyzing and interpreting scientific information.
Students will learn about fundamental biological processes and relate them to current events. Information from newspaper articles, online sources, and popular magazines will be integrated into the course and students will be asked to judge the relevance and reliability of the information.
