This is the required capstone for the Writing Certificate Program. This new version of the course offers you an opportunity to develop your writing, work closely with other certificate seniors, and receive advice from professionals about editing and compiling work for publication. Visiting writers and editors will speak in class and the schedule includes several social occasions--receptions, talks, and dinners. Guest speakers from the world of writing and publishing will talk about their experiences with new media. |

Additional Requirements and/or Comments: Students who have completed all course work for the writing certificate are eligible to take this (required) seminar during the spring of their senior year. A student who still needs to take one last elective course may take that elective at the same time as taking the seminar. Students who have a time conflict with seminar section 1 should apply for a place in seminar section 2, and vice versa.
To apply for WRCT350, section 1 or section 2, please: 1. Submit a POI request--for one section or both. 2. Submit ALL of the following material by Friday Nov. 8. a. Submit a statement requesting a place in the seminar to Anne Greene, Writing Certificate Director at agreene@wesleyan.edu. Rank your choice of sections, which are tentatively schedule for Thursday afternoon or Friday afternoon. Each section is capped at approximately 18. You may apply for both sections. b. If you have not done so already, submit a hard completed copy of the certificate's Planning/Completion form to Martha Penella, Downey House Room 126.
Students enrolled in section 1 or 2 will receive a detailed course description from the instructor(s).

Additional Requirements and/or Comments: Meetings of WRCT 350.02 will usually be held on Thursday afternoons, 1-4 pm, in Downey House room 207. Prof. Anne Greene will be flexible in working with students who have time conflicts.
